i get weirdly defensive and offended when people trash kanye west.

at the end of the day i guess i don’t care if you don’t like kanye west because i do and your opinion is not going to change that.

but also art is about shared experiences, i think, and when people dismiss things i love for silly reasons i end up spending too much time obsessing over it because as a person who likes things i tend to feel that it is my responsibility to inform other people that there are legitimate reasons to like those things.

  3. oldtobegin said: i get where you’re coming from, but most (decent) people who claim not to like things aren’t saying there aren’t extremely likable elements of such things. they’re just saying they don’t like things.
